Apple Cake with Caramel Sauce

Ingredients

2 cups chopped apples

1 cup sugar

1 stick butter

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 egg

1 cup flour

1 teaspoon soda

pinch salt

dash cinnamon

3/4 cup raisins

1 cup nuts chopped

SAUCE:

1 stick butter

1 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup evaporated milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

Combine all cake ingredients, adding apples last. Press evenly into a greased 9"x9" baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.

Sauce: Combine all ingredients and cook 3 minutes. Serve with apple cake.
